We just shipped a feature I’ve been wanting for a while - a full editor for your Communication Tools that makes it easy to organize all the places people reach you.
Here’s what’s new:
- Visual editor for adding, editing, and organizing your communication tools
- Groups to batch related tools together (Work, Personal, VIP, etc.)
- “Launch All” per group - open an entire group of tools with one click
- Command Palette access - press ⌘K and type any tool name to launch it instantly
- Custom tools - add any URL including app-specific ones like obsidian:// or notion://
Why this matters for your rituals:
The Shutdown ritual tells you to focus on VIP communications only. Now you can create a “VIP” group with just your important inboxes, click “Launch VIP,” handle what’s urgent, and be done. No temptation to check everything else!
Same idea for Going Well - quick scan vs. full processing becomes as simple as choosing which group to launch.
Plus fixes:
- Quick add duplicate task adding - fixed
- Timer indicators on tasks in list and calendar
- Bulk actions won’t move milestones anymore
- Better grouping of time blocked tasks in your task lists
- Electron timer bar improvements
